#7: Blimey: A Page from a Book
Should books be published?
[This, despite a strong campaign from #1 (which, liar that I am, I also sent myself), was the winner. Thanks for your correspondence.]
#6: A Flipbook
Promotional (co. ?). n.d. 64 pp. 3.5 x 2.5 in. 1960s mythology. Full-colour. Old paper standards. Some foxing.
#4: A Message of Condolence
That's you, Archie Kennedy.
#3: Counterfeit Five-Dollar Bill and Friends
Really. It's a fake.
#2: A Cracker in the Mail
Graphologists puzzle! (Fuck you, chiromancers.) Could this possibly be my hand?
Over the next fortnight or so I am going to post images of 'cards' I might or might not have sent myself on the occasion of the turn of the year. Through the mail. In truth, I only sent myself one thing. Which was it? Was it one of these?
Possibilities include: cards I made; cards I bought; things, just things, stamped or stuffed in envelopes; living things; art postal; last requests; insulting and illiterate phantasmagorias written in correcting pencil; naked mail; hate literature; or other missives from the grim, tubercular alleys.
#1: A Death Threat
I encourage you, small-stakes bettors, to contact me by phone at all hours (ET) at 201.704.0318, or to e-mail me repeatedly at email@example.com, to confide your early intuitions.
